Amanda Hoffmann (Bruhn), CPA, MBA
Founder / PrincipalAmanda is a Certified Public Accountant and MBA with over a decade of experience at the intersection of hospitality finance, short-term rental operations, and property management accounting. Her career is uncommon as she has not just advised STR businesses from the outside, she has run them, built them, and scaled them from the inside.
Before moving into the STR industry, Amanda built her accounting foundation in public practice and corporate finance, developing the institutional discipline in controls, compliance, and financial reporting that defines her work today.
Her STR career began at Wyndham Vacation Rentals, where she advanced rapidly from Senior Accountant to Controller and General Manager, overseeing the full financial and operational management of one of the largest vacation rental portfolios in the greater Palm Springs market, managing over 400 properties. When the business was acquired by Vacasa in 2019, she continued as General Manager through the integration.
From there she joined Highgate Hotels as Vice President of Accounting & Finance within a startup division purpose-built for sophisticated STR investors, where she led software evaluation, built the technology stack from the ground up, and implemented an ERP and PMS system integration. She then moved to Overmoon as Head of Accounting, managing vacation rental portfolio finances directly from the investor's perspective.
Since 2024, Amanda has run her own fractional CFO and controller advisory practice exclusively serving vacation rental property management companies, covering trust accounting, revenue recognition, accrual conversions, balance sheet cleanup, cash flow forecasting, QOE support, and hands-on work with bookkeepers and ownership teams. She has deep platform experience across multiple PMSs and other ancillary VRM software.
